Surah An-Nisa-4:122.

But those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism) and do deeds of righteousness,

We shall admit them to the Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. in Paradise) to dwell therein forever.

Allah’s Promise is the Truth, and whose words can be truer than those of Allah? (Of course, none).

Jannah (Paradise) and Jahannam (Hell-Fire)

Jannah (the Garden – Paradise)

Jannah is the promise from Allah Subhana wa taala to the believers of pure Islamic monotheism. Jannah is for those Muslims who have made effort to avoid shirk , bidah and sins and for those who have been forgiven those errors and sins.

Surah At-Tawbah-9:72.

Allah has promised to the believers

-men and women,

– Gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein forever,

beautiful mansions in Gardens of ‘Adn (Eden Paradise).

But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah.

That is the supreme success.

What will those in Jannah be able to see?

Jannah carries many rewards as reflected in the Quran; the garden, its comforts, its rivers, and its servants, etc; however the most sought after aspect by every true believer is the countenance of Allah subhana wa taala

Surah Yunus-10:26.

For those who have done good is the best (reward, i.e. Paradise) and

even more (i.e. having the honor of glancing at the Countenance of Allah)

Neither darkness nor dust nor any humiliating disgrace shall cover their faces.

They are the dwellers of Paradise, they will abide therein forever.

Jahannam (Hell-fire)

Those who have rejected the message of pure islamic monotheism, who have remained on misguidance of shirk and bidah, who have oppressed Muslims and who have never sought forgiveness from Allah Subhana wa taala will receive this exacting justice of hell-fire.

Surah An-Nahl-16:88.

Those who disbelieved and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,

for them We will add torment over the torment;

because they used to spread corruption

[by disobeying Allah themselves, as well as ordering others (mankind) to do so].

Both Jannah and Jahannam will exist infinitely, which means those who are in hell-fire will continue being burned and healed repeatedly.

Will Muslims enter Hell-fire ?

Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri Radiallahu anhu narrated that

Rasulallah Sallallahu alayhi wasalam said:

“When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the people of Hell enter Hell,

Allaah will say:

‘Whoever had a mustard-seed’s weight of faith in his heart, bring him out.’

So they will bring him out, and they will come out like burned skeletons, and they will turn into charcoal.

They will be thrown into the River of Life,

then they will grow like seeds growing in the silt left by a flood.”

Rasulallah sallallahu alayhi wasalam said:

“Do you not see how they emerge yellow and curved?”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (6192) and Muslim (184).

Anas ibn Maalik narrated that

Rasulallah Sallallahu alayhi wasalam said:

“Some people will be brought forth from the Fire after its flames touch them (and change their colour),

then they will be admitted to Paradise,

and the people of Paradise will call them al-Jahannamiyyoon.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (6191).

Ahmad (12060) narrated from Anas:

“… they will enter Paradise and the people of Paradise will say: These are al-Jahannamiyyoon.”

But al-Jabbaar (the Compeller – Allaah) will say:

‘No, rather they are the ones ransomed by al-Jabbaar,

may He be glorified and exalted.’”

May Allah subhana wa taala forgive us our errors and sins, protect us from jahannam and grant us jannatul firdaus
