Shirk of Democracy and Voting

ASH-HADU AN-LA ILLAHA IL ALLAH ! ! !

What many believe?

Many Muslims believe that it is an obligation to vote for a secular state and support the parties and institutions which promulgate the laws of that state. Such acts reflect the support for democracy,  its institutions, and its laws

Tawheed Al Hakamiyah

The act of voting, pledging alliance, allegiance and support for any system, ideology, rule of law, other than what Allah subhana wa taala has revealed, and what Sunnah has prescribed is SHIRK !

Tawheed al Hakamiyyah means acknowledging that legislation is for Allah subhana wa taala alone.

Thus Shariah (Quran and Sunnah) is what governs the life of a Muslim.

Surah Al An’am 6:114.

[Say (O Muhammad salalahu alayhi wasallm)]

Shall I seek a judge other than Allah while it is He Who has sent down unto you the Book (The Qur’an),

explained in detail.”

Those unto whom We gave the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)]

know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth.

So be not you of those who doubt.
